Start / Stop Service

Applications received after 4:00 pm will not be processed until the next business day. Service will not be turned on until MSEB has received a completed application, two forms of identification, and all required fees and deposits.

New Service — Move In

To connect new residential or commercial electric service, complete the online application above, visit our office at 1015 Avalon Avenue, or call (256) 386-9290 during office hours.

What You Will Need

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License preferred)
  • A second form of ID — Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Passport, Military ID, Student ID, Concealed Carry Permit, Insurance Card, or a valid Credit/Debit Card with your name on it
  • Your Social Security Number
  • New service address
  • Proof of occupancy — Rental/Lease Agreement, Closing Statement, or Deed
  • Desired service start date (allow one business day for processing)

Commercial Service

Commercial applicants must also provide a copy of their Muscle Shoals City business license and may be required to sign a power contract. Call (256) 386-9290 for details.

Stop Service — Move Out

To disconnect your electric service, complete the online form above or give MSEB at least 24 hours notice by calling (256) 386-9290.

Bank Draft (Auto-Pay)

MSEB offers automatic bank draft for convenient monthly bill payment. Bank draft changes require five (5) business days notice.
